About Us

NewsBlock.net was founded around mid 2010 by a group of voluntary journalists Abbey Harrison, Anders Johansson, Bob Mahoney and Dieter Brauer who were lead by the mastermind Bryon Randall (Editor in Chief) . The main purpose of the NewsBlock.net project is to serve objective, high quality and sensible news while keeping the particular “feel” of each author. We are independent individuals who try to create a difference in approach without any affiliations or restrictions.

After a couple of months of preperation, the site went live in early October 2010 with the aim of testing the technical capabilities with mainly reprints and test posts. After about 20 days of testing we started to serve our own content with the start of November 2010. We had some additions to the core staff during the testing period.  Gitika Kapoor, Sera Weber, Kasey Hicks and Shane Hewitt joined our team of authors thanks to our recruitment officer Bob who spent days and hours trying to find top-notch authors from all around the globe.

Being a non-profit organization, NewsBlock.net is always open to people who want to share their ideas with the visitors from all parts of the world. So if you’ve always felt that “need” to write & express your ideas about any topic, just contact us and apply for an author position.  We’re sure there’s some spot for you in this warm and friendly team.

Finally, we must state that we’re eager to get better and correct any mistakes we make so we strongly encourage you to share your ideas about the individual posts (by commenting) and about how we’re doing in general  (contact us form).
